US Army Awarded TSi SARSAT Software and System Maintenance Contract

BELTSVILLE, MD. (November 7, 2013) -- Techno-Sciences, Inc. (TSi) today announced the award of a software integration and SARSAT system maintenance support contract. This contract is awarded to TSi by the US Army, after a competitive open bidding process, to provide Rescue Coordination Center (RCC) software and maintenance support services for the Army's COSPAS-SARSAT systems in Qatar and Afghanistan. TSi RCCNET software and support services will provide detection and notification support for the US Army's 406 MHz Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) program.

TSi will be upgrading and maintaining the existing Army COSPAS-SARSAT systems, including LEOLUT, GEOLUT, MEOLUT, and MCC, and providing new installations for RCCNET clients in this multi-year contract. TSi's vast support experiences and comprehensive maintenance program help customers to achieve extremely high availabilities for their SARSAT systems. RCCNET is the world's most advanced RCC software solution that offers search planning, analysis, real-time data sharing and management, 3-D mapping with data integration, and accounting tools in a client-server package with built-in redundancy, high reliability, flexible mobility, and ease of use. The Army customer will be utilizing RCCNET to coordinate search and rescue missions for a population of more than 200,000 PLBs and other 406 MHz devices.
