Public Profile

Ascentia Imaging, Inc. provides optical solutions to a variety of problems, with capabilities ranging from the design of "classical" optical systems such as IR and visible imaging systems to "non-classical" 3D imaging systems wherein the optics and sensors are arranged in non-planar shapes and embody multiple cameras. In addition, Ascentia Imaging is skilled in applying computational imaging technologies to solve instances where it is not possible to achieve the desired goals using only classical optical design. We are also developing technology based upon sub-pixel resolution for use in high-precision measuring/localizing applications. Ascentia Imaging, Inc. has extensive experience in classical optical design. Examples of designs include IR cameras, projection systems, wafer scale optics, cell phone camera optics, telescopic gun sights, etc. Personal in Ascentia Imaging Inc. were responsible for the development of wavefront coding, the first commercial application of computational imaging which was used to extend the depth of field of an imaging system. Today Ascentia Imaging is using advanced computational imaging techniques to solve problems in tracking, microscopy, ranging and applications where size, weight and power (SWaP) must be minimized.
