ADA-ES, Inc. develops, offers, and implements proprietary environmental technologies and provides equipment and specialty chemicals that enable coal-fueled power plants to meet emissions regulations by enhancing existing air pollution control equipment, maximizing capacity and improving operating efficiencies. This innovative technology dramatically improved the ability of utilities and refineries to meet clean air standards without expensive modification or replacement of equipment. This technology was developed by ADA-ES with funding from the U.S. Department of Energy and the Electric Power Research Institute. In 2013 ADA-ES, renamed Advanced Emissions Solutions, Inc. (AES) became a holding company for several subsidiaries in a reorganization. While ADA-ES, Inc. continues to operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary, the holding company, AES, became the publicly traded entity under ADA-ES old stock ticker ADES.
