An advanced wireless network Personal Digital Assistant with remote monitoring capability is proposed. The wireless network will be based on adaptive routing protocols to support multi-hp communications in unstructured environments without setup or configuration requirements. The PDA architecture will support remote monitoring capability allowing the PDA to gather asset management, sensor or location data as a PDA application. Access to and use of fixed computer resources will be supported through the wireless network.
