In 1997 TriQuest Design Automation Inc was acquired by Summit Design of California. TriQuest is best known for TriQuest Controller Architect (TCA), a tool that optimizes and restructures state machines prior to synthesis. Summit appears to be especially interested in two analysis tools that are part of TCA -- the HDL Alert static timing analyzer, and the StateScore state-transition coverage tool.
