Public Profile

Functioning as a subsidiary of Chickasaw Nation Industries (CNI) Government LLC, Corvid Technologies provides high-fidelity computational physics analysis support to a vareity of industries, particularly the defense and automotive industries. Corvid's core competencies are high fidelity, first principle computational physics such as fluid dynamics, shock wave physics, and structural mechanics. These areas require expertise in material science, aeromechanics, high strain rate physics, and numerical methods. Corvid develops its own computational codes and has shown these to be accurate and predictive across a broad range of problem classes. To provide solutions for customers the firm maintains a 20,000-cpu massively parallel supercomputer system which allows the company to conduct thousands of large scale computations annually. Beyond computational physics applications, Corvid develops prototype hardware for incorporation into existing and emerging systems, particularly weapons systems. With AFRL, Corvid has developed and built high explosive detonation wave attenuation barriers for incorporation into variable yield bomb technologies. With DARPA and MDA, Corvid has two robust prototype armor programs. Leveraging high fidelity modeling they have designed, constructed, and tested armor panel concepts that stop fragment simulating projectiles at over 8000 ft/sec. Other current projects include CAVEMAN, a proprietary, high-fidelity Computational Human Model with geometric detail and accuracy used to predict the outcomes of extreme loading events on the human anatomy; motorsports applications; and a fabric net structure that significantly reduces the impeding air velocity on tactical vehicles. The company has offices in North Carolina, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
