We have recently announced the closure of a $300,000 angel round of investment. The early round of funding was structured as a convertible note. The initial investment will enable us to perform critical proof of concept studies, and to engage in product and business development.
Most importantly, the initial funds have helped us secure laboratory space at the Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine at the University of Washington, and hire our lead researcher, Danielle Drury-Stewart. Dr. Drury-Stewart has extensive experience in the manipulation and culture of human embryonic stem cells and will lead our research program.
