On Monday, the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) launched "NNSA Small Business Week," a weeklong campaign to highlight small businesses around the country that are making vital contributions to the nuclear security enterprise.

In FY2009, NNSA distributed more than $418 million in small business obligations for federal prime contracts in fiscal year 2009 up from $241 million in FY2006, $396 million in FY2007 and $378 million in FY 2008. In addition, NNSA surpassed its departmental small business goal by more than 15 percent in fiscal year 2009.
