Since
2004,
Silvus has
been engaged in
well
over a dozen
Research and Development
contracts
for
government
entities such as
DARPA, Army, NSF, Navy and Air Force
,
as well as several
companies in the commercial sector. These
projects
have been largely
focused on
applying Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna techniques and
Mobile Ad
hoc Networking (MANET) to address throughput and reliability
problems commonly
observed in
RF
challenged
outdoor environments.
Silvus has
leverage
d its unique expertise
to
develop a proprietary
waveform
it calls M
obile Networked MIMO (MN
MIMO™) which serves as the foundation of its family of StreamCaster™ MIMO radios. Silvus also seeks to make MN
MIMO available to
systems integrators and OEM manufac
turers
in order to satisfy the unique requirements of
various markets
. The creation of an office in San Diego is part of the company's growth strategy and will allow Silvus
