New York, NY May 28, 2015: Querium's StepWise Virtual Tutor software takes first place among the publishing industry's most innovative startups
Querium was selected by leaders in Venture Capital, Technology, and Publishing organizations as the winner of the Book Expo Startup Challenge at Book Expo America, beating 19 other start-ups to achieve the honor.
Querium, developer of StepWise Virtual Tutor, A.I.-based software that teaches teens and adult learners STEM subjects on mobile devices, was among 20 start-ups selected for the competition from over 200 applicants. Judges included notable VCs and publishing industry executives such as Jordan Bettman, Bain Capital Ventures, Dominique Raccah, CEO of Sourcebooks, Brian Napack, Senior Advisor, Providence Equity, Jason Saltzman, Alley NYC, and Ed Klaris, Managing Director, DiSilva+Philips.
