Digital Authentication Technologies, Inc., developer of the world’s first truly trustworthy identity for location, today announced that it has joined the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance (SIA) partner program. Under the McAfee SIA program, Digital Authentication Technologies will integrate its technologies, collectively called Contextual Location Fingerprint (CLFTM), with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (McAfee ePO) Platform, McAfee Enterprise Security Manager and Intel Wireless Credential Exchange, enabling customers to assure that critical business information assets and functions can be protected, controlled, and monitored by location to reduce risks, whether in the cloud or on a user's device, without susceptibility to practical spoofing attempts plaguing other location technologies such as geo-location, triangulation, and IP address look up.

CLF can be used to assure that servers are in secure data centers, administrators are in secure network operation centers, mobile device users can have their privileges to data and applications parsed as they move from trusted locations to the unknown, and anonymous and remote attackers must overcome significantly more complex hurdles.

When integrated with McAfee’s ePO Platform, CLF dramatically reduces serious vulnerabilities, including the risks that arise when the location of a machine matters greatly, but it cannot be established with a high level of assurance by other approaches.

“Our company grew out of an awareness that location anonymity was a giant hole in IT and process control systems that had not been addressed by other technology vendors, which explains DOD’s funding support for CLF’s development, validation testing, and piloting so it can today be made operational across DOD’s vast global infrastructure and help many other verticals too,” said Rick Morgenstern, Co-Founder and CEO of Digital Authentication Technologies. “Since CLF technology is not a standalone solution, we partner with vendors whose platforms enable scaling for enterprises in every vertical and of every size. McAfee and its parent, Intel Corporation, provided an ideal fit for CLF integration and the guidance DOD and a select group of MSPs and global financial service companies provided to our companies on CLF use cases and integration paths assures customers in every vertical can now significantly bolster their cybersecurity, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance systems in ways that were not previously possible.“

“We are pleased to add Digital Authentication Technologies, Inc. to the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance,” said Ed Barry, vice president of the Security Innovation Alliance, McAfee. “Our customers face growing challenges to secure their networks and data and maintain compliance, and are looking to integrate CLF technology with their McAfee solutions so their policy enforcement tools and multi-factor authentication processes can provide location as a trustworthy identity that defeats spoofing, a unique advancement offered by CLF.”

McAfee ePO Platform is the first platform that lets enterprises and governments centrally manage security and compliance products from multiple vendors, offering unprecedented cost savings and return on investment. With more than 45,000 customers and managing more than 60 million PCs and servers, this unique platform is helping McAfee SIA partners to extend their reach and create complementary functionality.
