Auritec is pleased to announce the expansion of its laboratory space. With the lease of this new facility (housed in The Oak Crest Institute of Science), Auritec has more than doubled its laboratory square footage.

Auritec now has access to all of the equipment housed in OCIS, including four chemical fume hoods, two level 3 biosafety laminar-flow hoods, a recirculating chilled water supply, on-line deionized water system (1MW and >18 MW), vacuum lines, inert atmosphere glovebox with recirculating purifier, refrigeration and freezing (4°C, 0°C, -20°C, -30°C, -80°C), autoclave, incubators, and liquid nitrogen supply. Spectroscopy equipment includes a FTIR spectrometer (Nicolet Magna-IR 560), UV-vis spectrometers (HP 8452A, Cary 50Bio, Shimadzu UV2104PC, and Ocean Optics S2000 & SD2000), Fluorescence spectrometers (SPEX Fluorolog and Hitachi FL4500), Raman spectrometer (Chromex 250is imaging spectrograph/Princeton Instruments CCD camera; Ar+, CW Nd:YAG, and diode laser sources). Chromatography equipment includes: HPLC (two Hewlett Packard Ti Series 1050 HPLCs with diode array UV-vis and fluoresc. detection), LC-MS (one 1050 LC coupled to Sciex API 100 single quadrupole mass spectrometer) IC (Dionex GP40 with UV-vis and conductivity detection), GC (Hewlett-Packard 5890 Series II GC with FID & NPD detectors, HP 5890 Series II with FID & TCD detectors), GC/MS (Hewlett-Packard Model 7890 gas chromatograph with a Model 5975C mass selective detector and a Model G1888 network headspace sampler and HP 5890 Series II GC with HP 5972 Series mass selective detector). Microscopy equipment includes: Light microscope with CCD camera, and a Epifluorescence microscope (Nikon Microphot-SA) with CCD camera. Laser Laboratory equipment includes: Nanosecond fluorescence lifetime and transient-absorbance spectroscopy, laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy, Raman and resonance Raman spectroscopy, Equipment: CEO diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser (20 mJ/pulse), Continuum flashlamp-pumped Nd:YAG laser (200mJ/pulse), broadly tunable OPO (420-2000 nm), ns-pulsed Ti:sapphire laser, fiber and direct pumped Nd:YAG microlasers; UV, visible, and mid-IR monochromators; PMT, APD, and intensified gated-CCD (Andor iStar DH720) detectors; Stanford Research SR400 Photon Counter, Tektronix TDS5004 digital oscilloscope for data acquisition; 4 optical tables.

Auritec Pharmaceuticals also owns the following equipment:

Ten USP type II dissolution systems manufactured by VanKel and Distek; a Zymark Multidose G3 autosampler; digital microscope; Spectronic 1201 UV/Vis spectrophotometer; HP UV/Vis spectrophotometer; a particle size counter; laminar flow hood; Carver press; centrifuge; lab oven and refrigerator; Harvard Navicyte 6 cell vertical Ussing chamber; Perkins -- Elmer CSC-2 Differential Scanning Calorimeter; and a Vector Mini Wurster.
