The Advisory Board Co. remains in a buying mood, announcing a deal Wednesday to acquire 360Fresh Inc., a Palo Alto, Calif.-based clinical analytics provider.

360Fresh is another in a long line of small tech firms acquired by the Advisory Board Co. as it continues to expand its hospital-support suite of products, which first grew out of a traditional consulting business.

CEO Robert Musslewhite told me last year the company is committed to a steady growth trajectory, with the goal of either launching a new product internally or buying a new company every quarter. Only a few days before the 360Fresh deal was consummated in November, we broke the news about the Advisory Board buying a Philadelphia firm.

The 360Fresh website promises it "transforms large medical records data into actionable knowledge for improving patient quality while actively reducing costs and improving productivity." Under the Advisory Board umbrella, 360Fresh will be paired with the company's Crimson product, a physician management tool it bought along with its founding company in 2008.

Terms were not disclosed.
