GRASS VALLEY,CA - December 3, 2009 - Sierra Video, a leading provider of high-quality video and audio equipment for the broadcast, production, government and professional audio/video industries, announced today that Adel Ghanem, Ph.D. has been appointed as its new president by its parent company, Kramer Electronics. Mr. Ghanem previously served as the CEO of Vitashi Inc., a privately held company developing medical health monitoring devices and handheld AV modules.
Prior to that, Mr. Ghanem served as the CEO of ZonTrak, a provider of wireless sensors and location-based systems for industrial, defense, and homeland security applications. Mr. Ghanem also served as the president & CEO of Accelaro Systems Inc. which provides technology and business consulting focused on strategic technology and business initiatives.
Mr. Ghanem, holds Ph.D. and an M.S. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Ghanem said: "I am excited to join Sierra Video, working in close collaboration with the management team at Kramer Electronics.
