ADA-ES Inc. has completed a reorganization, creating a new Delaware holding company for the Colorado clean-coal and emissions technology firm.
Shareholders of the Highlands Ranch-based company approved the reorganization June 13. The changes took effect Monday.
Advanced Emissions Solutions Inc. is now the holding company for ADA-ES and assumes its publicly-traded status and ticker symbol (Nasdaq: ADES).
ADA-ES' senior executives — including Michael Durham, the company's president and CEO — and its board members have assumed the same positions at Advanced Emissions Solutions.
"We believe the name Advanced Emissions Solutions more accurately reflects the scope of our current operations and our future direction,"Durham said in June.
ADA-ES — formerly called ADA Technologies Inc. — became a stand-alone public company in 2003 after it was spun off from Earth Sciences Inc. The company moved its headquarters from Littleton to Highlands Ranch last year to accommodate growth.
