With close ties to Emory University, Zetra had been developing innovative vaccines against pandemic influenza and other infectious diseases to include HIV and RSV. The company was formed around the novel chimeric virus-like particle (VLP) technology developed by scientific founder Dr. Richard Compans (Immunology and Microbiology). The chimeric VLP technology has the potential dramatically to simplify the vaccine manufacturing process and reduce the time to market.
