In June 2013 Voltaix was acquired by Air Liquide. Formerly the ChemOvonic Division of Energy Conversion Devices, Inc. Voltaix was spun off as an independent business in 1986. In 1998 the company acquired Florida Scientific Laboratories, Inc. Voltaix, LLC, an electronic chemicals company, manufacturing specialty gases and chemicals for semiconductor deposition applications. It offers a range of boron products; germanium products, and phosphorous products, such as phosphine and phosphine mixtures. The company also provides organosilanes; silicon products, Silcore, and silicon tetrafluoride; and other gases, including methane and sulfur dioxide. In addition, Voltaix, LLC offers deuterated compounds; isotopically enriched compounds, ; and carrier gas options, such as argon, argon thermophysical data, helium, hydrogen, hydrogen thermophysical data, nitrogen, and nitrogen thermophysical data. The company's products are used in semiconductors for memory, logic, and wireless applications; thin film and polycrystalline solar cells; micro-electro-mechanical devices; and photonic devices for edge communication platforms worldwide.
