URSUS Medical LLC is developing a new wireless, battery powered, handheld ultrasound based on the firm'spatented technology. The device is being designed to have far longer battery life than existing handhelds, with high resolution image quality and features rivaling midrange cart based systems at a reasonable cost. The probe can use any Wi-Fi enabled display device, from a cell phone to a standard flat screen monitor, which enables cloud based storage of images and Computer Aided Diagnostics.
