The technology - designated Microballon - is a re-usable stratospheric balloon equipped with remote sensing technology that can be launched from anywhere with minimal personnel and equipment required. Applications include regular mapping of cities, monitoring of wildfire areas and disasters, agriculture crop management, distributed asset monitoring and security, and any other application that requires broad area collection imagery.
