Using proprietary technology, Stasys Medical Corporation develops a rapid, complete function test. Using a contained disposable microcard, the Stasys point-of-care device measures platelet function via microsensors to provide a complete clinical picture in under 5 minutes. The technology is designed to identify the source of uncontrolled bleeding, including trauma induced coagulopathy (TIC), which is the body's inability to form clots. The company was spun out of research at the University of Washington.
