In November 2001 R&F Products was acquired by Laird Technologies Inc. a major player in EMI Shielding. Laird and R&F will work together to develop a line of microwave shielding materials for commercial applications. R&F Products was formed to provide the microwave absorber user with a highly technical, low cost, absorber manufacturer. The exodus of many traditional suppliers from the marketplace has left few choices for the end user for an overall supplier of commercial radar absorbing materials. R&F Products has access to the latest computer codes for deriving material properties and predicting radar absorbing material performance. The firm is working on development of structural foam absorbers, multispectral materials, and new filler materials. R&F Products manufactures a complete range of microwave absorbers, including: dipped and graded broadband foam absorbers, treated honeycomb core, Salisbury screens, and compression molded magnetic elastomeric materials. R&F has complete composite fabrication facilities for the manufacture of radar absorbing and reflecting composites, and radar transparent materials. R&F does die cutting of gaskets, washers and components for the wireless telecommunications industry.
