Precision Neuroscopics Inc was launched by personnel having extensive and close ties to Carnegie Mellon with the previous technical focus of the founders having been on analog and mixed signal VLSI design, power and data telemetry, magnetic link design, and hermetic packaging design -- these having been previously employed in implantable medical systems, specifically neural stimulators. Building on that base, Precision Neuroscopics is now more usefully understood as organized around development of novel medical device technologies and the overall science of advancing biomedical products addressing neural disorders: particular emphasis on neural stimulation and wireless power telemetry.
