With the focus on reducing the number of healthcare associated infections, Livonyx is developing a rapid hand disinfection system, based on their proprietary technology. The effort is anchored in the previous work of and study by the firm's team of engineers, designers, ethnographers, and scientists to understand infection control and the human behaviors associated with hand disinfection, including the limitations of hand-washing and alcohol-based disinfectants. That studyidentified the key features needed in a device and have developed and validated test methods to establish efficacy and safety.
