Anchored in the premise that all young people deserve a quality education and the well researched condition that games - now to include esports - have positive impact on young minds, it follows that students should be provided opportunity to play, learn, and grow through games. With Liminal Esports founded by a team that includes the former games and education policy lead for US Department of Education, the former Head of Public Affairs for the Entertainment Software Association and current Executive Director of the IGDA Foundation along with a well known, widely published researcher in the arena the process was begun. Joined by other former federal civil servants, game industry leaders, superstar educators, and cutting edge researchers, Liminal Esports has grown into the kind of dynamic startup necessary to tackle the fast-moving, already interwoven challenges of games in education.
