After only two years of independent operation and more or less coinident with the firm's NSF SBIR Phase I, in August 2017 Lextrum was acquired by Tuscon AZ based Transform-X - a firm working in advanced waveform, software and hardware technologies to drive future evolutions in high-capacity microwave radio, satellite radio, broadcast and other RF communications. Lextrum Inc. now operates as a wholly owned subsiduary of Transform X. Lextrum had operated as a a communications technology company, providing full-duplex and reconfigurable-antenna technologies. The firm had developed disruptive patent-protected technology that significantly improves the efficiency of wireless networks, allowing for more robust networks, higher data rates and unprecedented coverage. The firm had been resident in the technology incubator operated by EvoNexus - one of the largest tech incubators in Southern California haing strong connections with Qualcomm - a firm that was itslef actively SBIR-involved when s wa san esraly stage start-up..
