The founding partners of Langinnov Inc originally met while pursuing doctoral studies in linguistics. Having collaborated in various research, educational, and business projects the firm that is fLangInnov came out of that long period of joint effort culminating in realization of the need for an app such as BLAST - Bilingual Literacy Assessment and Skills Tracker. BLAST is a user-friendly, fully automated, multi-platform, language and literacy assessment for emergent bi-linguals. The firm's efforts organzied around supporting development of bilingualism by addressing the need for adequate assessment materials for the growing bilingual population that enters U.S. educational systems. The system allows them to respond in English, in their home language or both - while also measuring the User's reading, writing, listening, speaking, and cognitive skills. This inituitive assessment is designed to adapt to each student as he/she uses the app with real-time automated assessment and grading based on their responses.
