In 1995, Sunrise Medical acquired Jay Medical Ltd., a then Colorado based manufacturer of wheelchair cushions and modular positioning products. Sunrise Medical is a major player in the development, design, manufacture and distribution of manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, motorized scooters and both standard and customized seating and positioning systems manufacturing products in its own facilities in the United States, Mexico, Germany, United Kingdom, Spain , Holland, Poland, and China.
