Public Profile

Founded as Summit Performance Group LLC. and renamed i-Human Patients, Inc. (IHP) in 2012, the firm designs and develops simulation training services for the medical education sector. The firm's flagship product is a high performance cloud-based multimedia case authoring and playback system: a software platform that simulates a complete medical patient encounter with animated avatars, human physiology and pathophysiology, virtual histopathology and 3D anatomy, all designed to improve students’ diagnostic reasoning skills and patient outcomes. The system provides a comprehensive learning tool that integrates clinical experience much earlier into medical education helping students develop patient assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills, and prepares them for their apprenticeship training with real patients. Students receive online guidance, feedback, and coaching at every step of the learning process. In late February 2018, it was anounced that the firm had been acquired by Kaplan, the test prep industry firm and a primary provider of preparation for the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam and National Council Licensure Exam,
