The firm was originally founded in order to commercialize a single patent for technology covering a bellows-shaped condom applicator, invented by the founder in 1990. In 2005 several different companies were reorganized and consolidated under one new corporate identity, called Condax Medical Products LLC (CMP). The consolidation substituted former investor interest in only one specific product for a plan where all investors own an interest in all CMP products. The Company has focused all its resources in a single niche: products that promote safer-sexual behavior. CMP’s unique and innovative product array encompasses all aspects of condoms from their formulation to their disposal. In addition, as increasing numbers of men are either unable to produce or have difficulty in sustaining erectile functioning, the company has also pursued a related avenue of interest by developing products to serve the growing erectile dysfunction market. CMP has been awarded 6 peer-reviewed NIH research grants, totaling approximately $7 million, which helped in the development of the ULTIMATE and CONDAX condom applicators and the LEVITRON air-infused cond
