Axiome Advisors developed and tested a three-electrodeelectrochemicalcellfor the conversion of generic organic matter such as sugars (glucose, fructose, etc.) or alcohols into electrical energy. The principals evaluated the three-electrode cell (TEC) designed to separate the processes at the fuel electrode. Test results validated the operating principle and theability of the three-electrode reactor to affect the oxidation of complex organic materials. The TEC requires active control of potentials for proper operation. The control methods evaluated also pre-empt anode deactivation and stabilize the cell output over time. This provides a technological path for the conversion of complex fuels, natural matter, carbon-neutral, non-toxic, non-flammable fuels directly to electrical energy suitable for portable applications. Keywords: three electrode cell; fuel cell; electrochemical conversion; organic fuels; electrochemical reactor design; electronic reaction controls. In addition to developing the technology for non-hydrogen fueled electrochemical devices, Axiome Advisors LLC provides engineering and management services to customers to * Plot a safe development path to technological objectives and carry it out on schedule and within budget, * Design electrochemical cell hardware and test facilities to prove them out, * Formulate assembly and acceptance testing protocols and * Investigate failed assemblies to correct manufacturing, materials, or assembly problems. Axiome Advisors has successfully demonstrated that a single cell fuel cell produces power using food-grade fructose.
