The SBIR award from DoEd enabed the founding players to work in collaboration with a team of expert advisors to develop the most cost-efficient, high quality, closed captioning services, deliving affordable captions, open captioned videos, live captions, audio descriptions, and translations with quality, accuracy and efficiency. Among the millions of clients around the world served by the firm have been educational institutions such as the California State University System, the University of Virginia, and the University of Washington, government agencies such as NASA and the Library of Congress, and enterprises including Apple, NBC Learn, Pearson, and Cengage Learning. Indicated as Hayward CA located for their SBIR award, the firm has subsequently relocated - and remains - in Cheyenne, WY. Interestingly, the firm's founder was a player with another very successful SBIR awardee in a relalted field - Nuance - whose technology underpins the app that allows us to dicate emails and messages on our cell phones.
