Public Profile

Formerly known as Applied NanoWorks Inc., Auterra has developed a patent pending materials platform that will deliver a family of new chemicals and catalysts focused on energy applications. Its first commercial product is a catalyst that promises to make fuel products cleaner while reducing oil refinery costs up to 66% and CO2 emissions up to 50%. Other patent pending materials that are in development include phosphors for energy efficient LED lighting (that would reduce energy consumption) and high performance super-capacitor materials for electric vehicles (that would make them more cost effective and practical). Auterra's FlexDS process will improve quality of life in the US by reducing CO2 emissions. The process also makes fuels cleaner by reducing air pollutants (i.e. sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide). This new process also makes it easier and more cost effective to refine the heavy crude oils and oil sands that represent a growing percentage of available oil resources, especially in North and South America. Auterra Inc. is an advanced material manufacturing and development company focused on creating materials and catalysts that provide new levels of performance required to advance industry’s clean technology needs. The company provides research and development services focused on nanotechnology materials and applications. Technology enables making semiconductor, metal & oxide crystals as small as 2n
