Atmospheric Plasma Solutions (APS) is structured around development of the next generation of coating removal solutions for hard-to-remove coatings.. The firm has harnessed the power of plasma for treating surfaces and removing industrial polymeric coatings from a wide range of surfaces found in aviation, marine, and civil applicationss. Removing coatings or rust from surfaces to prep them for recoating had previously been tedious, time-consuming and even unsafe. Anchored in work of the firm's founder while he was a PhD student at North Carolina State, the firm focused on, designed and built high-performance plasma power supplies and delivery systems that harness plasma’s power. The APS team pursued plasma science research and developed a rich portfolio of IP and initial products.
