ATL Ultrasound, was acquired in October 1998 by Royal Philips Electronics of the Netherlands. The company offered a broad product range comprising both high-definition and compact systems, and has an installed base of over 14,000 digital broadband HDI systems. Recently the second generation of its revolutionary SonoCT real-time compound imaging ultrasound technology was introduced, enabling advanced signal processing such as Tissue Harmonic Imaging, 3D and panoramic imaging.
