Public Profile

In October 2003, Arroyo Optics merged with venture-backed, CA-based LightCross, a developer of silicon-based opto-electonic integrated circuits and modules, to become Kotura. Both companies focus on products targeting fiberoptics infrastructure applications that serve the growing need for high bandwidth services in the communications market. Arroyo Optics develops and manufactures flexible wavelength management solutions for telecommunications systems manufacturers and service providers. Based on its UltraFilter(tm) technology platform, Arroyo Optics creates a family of "all optical" filters ideal for wavelength blocking, dynamic channel equalization (DCE), reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexing (ROADM) and wavelength routing applications. Arroyo's solutions enable the deployment of low-cost, flexible, highly dynamic, remotely reconfigurable optical networks.
