Arcomac Surface Engineering, LLC (ASE) is a research and development technology transfer/commercialization company specializing in advanced surface engineering techniques to enhance material properties for a wide variety of applications. These techniques include patented hybrid Physical and Chemical Vapor Deposition (PVD and CVD) processes, which result in high density, low defect thin film coatings with uniform large-area coverage at industrial-scale production. Coatings are specifically developed for applications including wear and corrosion resistance, optics, semiconductors, medical applications, and fuel cell systems. ASE holds both US and International patents on various applications and equipment that allow large-area uniformity, atomic scale bonding, and an ability to mix and alternate deposition architectures through scaleable processes. ASE manufactures the equipment necessary for these technologies, provides engineering services for custom coatings, consults to other industrial clients, and engages in collaborative research and development programs.
