Public Profile

Applied Tissue Technologies LLC was founded to bring advanced wound healing technologies to patients. The firm’s portfolio of treatment methods and invented proprietary devices enable care givers to heal wounds more efficiently in undeveloped and developing countries through the use of non-powered and battery powered technology. The company is currently distributing Micro-AutoGrafting Instrument Kit, a sterile, single-use, hand powered kit designed to harvest an optimum split-thickness graft and allow for multiple times of expansion of the harvested donor site tissue by mincing with the patented method and instruments. The mincing technique has been utilized successfully on difficult to heal wounds such as diabetic ulcers and severe large surface area burns. The XPANSION skin grafting instrument kit allows health care providers to harvest, mince, and apply split-thickness skin grafts (STSG’s) to wounds. Split-thickness autografts are the preferred closure method for challenging, hard-to-heal wounds, both acute and chronic. Skin wounds such as traumatic full-thickness wounds…certain burns…diabetic foot ulcers and venous ulcers cannot heal on their own and expose patients to additional complications the longer they remain open. The instruments provide a simple and straightforward method of creating split-thickness skin micrografts. Micrografts are evenly-sized minced skin particles, 0.8 mm x 0.8 mm in length. All the required instruments are single-use disposable and are packaged in a convenient
