AI.Reverie is a relatively new firm working on development of a simulation platform structured to train AI to understand the world. Management describe the firm as offering a suite of synthetic data and vision APIs to help businesses across different industries to train their machine learning algorithms and improve their AI applications - the effort being to "make cities smarter, farms more sustainable, homes safer, tasks easier, and life fuller". To quote a recent Business Wire about the firm "the AI.Reverie synthetic data platform creates a virtually endless supply of annotated images and videos that accelerate computer vision and machine learning across domains. Its unique toolset preserves data privacy and provides the control to prevent bias in AI. " In October 2021, AI.Reverie was acquired by publicly traded Meta (NASDAQ, FB) - fromerly dba "Facebook", the social technology company that, to date, has acquired almost 100 other firms.
