Previously dba Multisensor Diagnostics LLC, Aidar Health is structured around changing the culture of healthcare monitoring and simplification. Arguing that the present day healthcare system is curative versus preventative, Aidar princpals argue that preventative care for the most comorbid populations necessitates simple and uniform ways of remote monitoring - comrodity bieng the presence of one or more additional conditions often co-occurring with a primary condition. Current health monitoring tools on patients during a regular/routine "office visit" involves using several devices to monitor their vital signs (ex. a wireless blood pressure cuff, wireless thermometer, etc.). Aidar is addressing developmentof a single device for measuring all relevant vital signs for preventative care and chronic disease management. Aidar Health has developed a portable hand-held device that allows patients to measure and track vital signs in a matter of seconds. Roughly the size of an iPhone, MouthLab consists of a hand unit and a mouthpiece that fits between the teeth and lips. The mouthpiece uses special sensors to gather information from breathing patterns, saliva and blood vessels in the lips and hands. Users inhale and exhale into the mouthpiece and, within 30 seconds, MouthLab measures 10 different parameters of their health: temperature, blood pressure, electrical activity of the heart, oxygen saturation, pulse rate, respiratory rate, breathing pattern, heart rate, heart rate variability and lung function.
