Public Profile

Focused to improving quality of life for Parkinson patients and those with other neurodegenerative diseases: AbiliLife is developing Calibrace - a back brace that can improve posture and balance. Calibrace has two main components, the front apron and the tensioning system. The front apron provides compression of the torso relieving lower back pain. The patent pending tensioning system lifts the shoulders up and back, improving posture and balance. The brace is lightweight, breathable and discrete and can be worn under or over clothing and during exercise if desired. Calibrace is available via prescription and is covered by health insurance and is the first orthotic designed specifically for Parkinson's patients and individuals with stooped posture that significantly improves posture, balance and decreases fear of falling.
