The design and development of a low-cost short-range navigation system for agricultural applications is proposed. The system would have one-meter absolute accuracy. The system would be based on low-power microwave technology using a mobile transmitter and fixed, pre-located transponders.Applications:This system would permit the precise tailoring of soil additives and tillage operations to varying soil conditions.
