Naval Special Warfare is developing and testing equipment and tactics for neutralization of anti-invasion mines in the very shallow water maritime environment. The device proposed herein, an electromagnetic pulse mine countermeasure device, will enhance the capability of Naval Special Warfare to neutralize mines. The proposed device is expected to be effective against most, if not all, mine types, and against floating, moored, proud, bottom, or buried mines.
