SenseAR is an augmented reality enabled drone operation and training solution. Sense AR has three main components 1) an AR visual feedback overlay of georeferenced sensory data and flight or ground operation data that is supplemented with audible feedback 2) an AR supported command and control user experience that incorporates gesture and voice recognition and 3) an AR embedded training mode that supports virtual and operational flight modes. This system shall be integrated with Physical Sciences Inc InstantEye aerial drone and RoboteX Incs AVATAR III ground robot. This integration will allow the demonstration of SenseARs ability to support three phases of operation; training, planning and operation of both aerial and ground robotic ISR missions. The system will be designed agnostics to ISR mission, but demonstrate particular support for missions related to CBRNE detection. Field testing shall demonstrate the system shows promised for ease of use and ability to reduce time to competent operation by 50%. The proposed option development period shall include a training effectiveness evaluation that demonstrates ease of use and reduction in training time for a subset of the target user population. It is expected that SenseAR shall result in earlier adoption of drone technology by commercial enterprises
