Avenda Systems proposes to research and build an effective protection mechanism called Elimination of Side-Channel Attacks from Exploitation (E-SAFE). E-SAFE solution will consist of methods and techniques for detecting control-flow side channel attacks and transforming the source code of embedded applications to eliminate such attacks. E-SAFE provides many of the protection mechanisms needed to protect embedded applications. The technologies employed in this product are practical and innovative and have not been implemented in commercially available comparable products. Research and analysis in Phase I will provide the knowledge and foundation for building a complete solution in Phase II, and a commercially viable product in Phase III.
