MYMIC proposes a Phase II SBIR that builds upon a feasibility assessment completed during Phase I (Contract FA8650-07-M-6711) which addressed using multi-player on-line gaming technology to train healthcare professionals who need to be ready to work as a team when activated and deployed to respond to an emergency. This effort will develop a fully functional prototype of a distributed game-based training solution, called Gaming for Medical Response Team Training (GMRT2) and test it with an identified user community. This effort will also define the required training scenarios, incorporate a feedback and tracking capability, evaluate GMRT2 with users and team leaders, and formalize commercialization partnerships for Phase III.
