A new manufacturing step is proposed which produces improved cathode electrodes for Li-ion batteries. This process enables fabrication of high density electrodes. The high density electrodes are implemented into Li-ion batteries that have improved capacity, rate capability, and superior life compared to state-of-art Li-ion batteries used in the industry today.
