The availability of the complete human genome and the genomes of other organisms will induce dramatic growth in technologies linking the interpretation of genomic data to the development of new medical products. Integrated Genomics is currently offering ERGO, the comprehensive collection of the data related to genomes structure, functioning and evolution, to the growing number of industrial and academic customers. We intend to convert ERGO into the central component supporting comparative analysis of genomic and post-genomic data for pharmaceutical, clinical and other applications. To achieve this goal we propose development of a convenient programmatic interface that would streamline the integration of ERGO into the customers corporate frameworks and allow the use of ERGO functionality from within user environments. We also intend to significantly enhance the ERGO encoding of central cellular machinery, emphasizing metabolic networks and related cellular processes as detailed functional overviews for human and a variety of model organisms. Coupling the enhanced ERGO with convenient and standard access techniques will allow users to analyze and interpret their own large-scale experimental data (such as expression data and SNPs) in the context of central cellular machinery
