This cold-water diving suit maintains improved thermal insulation at depth while improving overall flexibility through the innovative design.

Benefit:
The innovative design can improve the recreational diving experience in colder waters while reducing the incidence of hypothermia. For commercial and military divers, the wetsuit can allow divers to remain at depth for longer periods of time without concern about hypothermia.

The technology being developed will provide enhanced thermal insulation to divers in cold waters while also improving the flexibility of the wetsuit. The resulting wetsuit improves diver mobility while maintaining similar or better don and doff time.

Benefit:
The technology developed can provide improved thermal insulation over neoprene with a thinner wetsuit thickness. The wetsuits can be improve the diving and surface water activities of users with the potential to also extend season.
