Solute has thoroughly analyzed commercially available solutions to determine that the Navys need for data replication and synchronization is not a traditional replication or synchronization problem and requires custom algorithm development to be effective and answer the mail. The solution the Navy needs must happen at the Application, Entity, and Mission layers; requiring the development of an entirely new type of Data Replication and Synchronization capability. Solutes proposed solution involves an adaptor-like framework that plugs into an applications data layer to monitor modifications to object-level data sources through a Subscription subsystem, which then pushes those changes into a queue with time, mission, geospatial, or other relevant metadata attached for the Transport subsystem to push out data modifications should they be deemed relevant at the time of delivery. SOLUTE will leverage an Agile development process and will build the proposed solution using DevSecOps methodologies and automated continuous integration / continuous delivery pipelines (CI/CD). The proposed solution will be developed using a loosely coupled microservice architecture.

Benefit:
When successful, this effort will change the very fabric of how data is shared across platforms in the Navy with AEGIS leading the way into the future and will provide unprecedented access to timely and relevant data in Naval tactical environments. While the initial focus will be successful transition within PEO IWS and NAVSEA, SOLUTE also can effectively market and commercialize this capability across the broader Navy ecosystem, for example PMW 160 and NIWC PAC, with whom SOLUTE has a large presence designing CANES and CANES ACS systems. SOLUTE has deep partnerships with commercial vendors like Microsoft, VMWare, Red Hat, Amazon Web Services, and HashiCorp. SOLUTE will leverage these relationships to certify the DCS system as a partner offering with these Cloud Management Suites, Cloud Providers, and DevSecOps tool providers.
