KCF Technologies is proposing to adapt and apply its SmartDiagnostics enterprise software platform to support NAVAIRs need for a comprehensive PHM analysis tool suite. SmartDiagnostics is a proven industrial grade platform that is being used by over 200 large industrial corporations, many of which are in the Fortune 500. SmartDiagnostics is suited for application under this proposed effort because it is designed to 1) import or acquire different data types and from different sources, 2) store and index the data, 3) rapidly search, cleanse, and filter the data, 4) perform advanced PHM data analysis, and 5) present results in an easy to digest format. SmartDiagnostics software has been designed from the ground up for open data sharing, massive scalability, high security, and robust data reliability. The application of these underlying structures and practices ensures a low technical risk deployment. As a leader in the Industrial Internet of Things market KCF Technologies and its software development team bring over a century of combined experience in large scale data management structures, data security, and advanced PHM analytics.

Benefit:
When fully implemented, the proposed technology will reduce fleet maintenance costs and increase operational readiness. This is accomplished through supporting the following: (1) Improved maintenance planning and increased operational readiness of NAVAIR assets (2) Elimination of unnecessary part replacement and extension of operational life of fatigue-prone components (3) Automation of certain logistics support functions based on CBM and PHM data for improved efficiency Technology developed under this SBIR will benefit KCFs commercial industrial condition monitoring solution. Initial transition to NAVAIR will be via a logistics management partner approved by the Navys eCBM+ team. KCF and their partners may seek a licensing agreement with a Defense Logistics Agency compliant supplier for eventual implementation of the SmartDiagnostics & Prognostics solution in broader use.
